PROPOSAL TO THE CITY OF EVERETT
CLIMATE ACTION PLAN CONSULTANT
► Interactive activities, either individually or in small breakout groups depending on turnout. We often use
tools and activities such as PollEverywhere, dot games, and cost-benefit exercises to guide participants and
make sure their feedback and ideas are directly applicable to the plan.
► We will conclude with a brief wrap-up to thank attendees, share how their input will be used, and indicate
the schedule for finalizing the plan. We will also advertise the final public hearing and encourage
participants to attend.
Task 3.2 Public Hearing
We will hold a public hearing with the Planning Commission to present the final CAP; as part of the hearing, we
anticipate giving a brief presentation to summarize the project's methodology and key strategies and results. If
budget allows,we can also create large poster boards with infographics that highlight the project's key takeaways in
a visually interesting and memorable way.
Deliverables
► Preparation of meeting agendas
► Project briefing PowerPoint presentations and/or sets of talking points
P Discussion guides and/or interactive activities
► Attendance at the workshop and public hearing
Task 4—Final CAP
The primary goal of this project will be a Climate Action Plan that is innovative, transformative, actionable, and
engaging—a document that the City will be proud to share with its citizens and peers, and that demonstrates its
commitment to reducing emissions and strengthening resilience. It will have clear mitigation and adaptation steps
for both the City and community members to take, and metrics and strategies for measuring and communicating
progress. We envision the CAP being a flexible and dynamic living document that can be updated over time as new
opportunities emerge or as the external regulatory context changes.
We pride ourselves on creating final products that are not only accurate and actionable but attractive and engaging
too.To that end,we envision producing an accessible, user-friendly report with concise text and a focus on graphs
and other visual aids. Cascadia has an in-house design team that crafts visually appealing products that are scaled
to the needs of each client. We offer Word-and Adobe-based document design and production services,
infographic development, and compelling data displays, should the City desire such elements and to the extent the
budget allows. Our standards are upheld with rigorous quality control processes that include Editorial Board review
and senior-level oversight of all written work products and deliverables.
Deliverables
► Final CAP document in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats
r ASCADIA 8
c.o..
