City of Everett Edgewater Creek Bridge Replacement <br /> This work element is performed by Consultant to provide design the TS&L phase and civil, <br /> roadway and drainage design of the bridge's alternative of choice approaches at 30%,60%, 90% <br /> and 100% levels. <br /> 11.2 TS&L and Alternative Design Study <br /> Consultant will prepare horizontal and vertical alignment alternatives for the project to support <br /> the analysis of up to three bridge alignment alternatives. The horizontal alignment for the project <br /> has been determined by the existing roadway alignment. However,the exact alignment remains <br /> to be fixed based on detailed survey information. <br /> An opinion of cost will be prepared based on the alternatives. The opinion of cost will be <br /> based on unit prices and incorporate about a 30%contingency to account for the level of <br /> completeness of plan preparation, and to reflect experience on similar projects within the <br /> region. <br /> An evaluation matrix will be developed for purpose of comparing the costs,construction <br /> feasibility, staged construction flexibility, and other criteria as may be developed during the <br /> work. Selection of the preferred alternative will be made by the City stakeholders, and the <br /> preferred alternative will be carried forward in the design. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> • Up to three alternative roadway plans and profiles as roll plots <br /> • Opinion of Cost for each alternative <br /> • Evaluation matrix <br /> 113 Plans Specs and Estimate <br /> Construction plans, specifications, and an opinion of cost will be prepared based on the <br /> recommendations identified during the alternative and the stormwater design documentation <br /> tasks. <br /> 11.3.1 Plans <br /> A total of up to thirty one(31)plan sheets are assumed to be necessary for the final design <br /> construction plans. Specific final design construction plans are anticipated to consist of the <br /> following sheets: <br /> • Typical Roadway Sections(2 sheet, not to scale) <br /> • Site Preparation and Erosion Control Plan and Details (4 sheets, 1"=20' scale) <br /> • Paving and Drainage Plan and Details (8 sheets, 1"=20' scale) <br /> These plans will demonstrate the project footprint and will include horizontal and vertical <br /> alignment information,paving limits, drainage conveyance and water quality facilities, <br /> and limits of cut/fill required. Three sheets to document details for curb ramps, drainage <br /> facilities, and other miscellaneous details are included. <br /> • Utility Plans (3 sheets, 1"=20' scale) <br /> Page 34 of 42 <br />
